The Baluarte Conference Center in Pamplona will host the first edition of the Navarra FP Hackathon tomorrow, Thursday, December 19th, the Department of Education will hold a 12-hour event in which a total of 50 vocational training students will compete in a major competition to solve real-life challenges posed by real companies. The event will bring together, across all sections, more than 300 vocational training students from all levels of training from all Navarra.

After the opening of the event, the participating companies will present their challenges to the teams, each of which will be made up of five intermediate and/or advanced vocational training students, whose composition is limited to heterogeneity. Students must be enrolled in a vocational training program, and the teams are composed of profiles from different vocational training programs, allowing them to contribute different perspectives and solutions to the problem at hand.

he Navarra FP Hackathon will last 12 hours. It will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 p.m. This will provide enough time to learn about the company's challenge, brainstorm solutions, and present an innovative proposal that addresses their problem.

The Directorate General of Education and Vocational Training has brought together a large group of companies and challenger organizations for this first Hackathon. These include Florette, Ternua, Iruña Tecnologías, ZAS, Volkswagen, Hermanas Hospitalarias, Padre Menni Psychiatric Clinic, Navarrabiomed, the Food Bank Foundation, and Darwin Biomed, with Lacturale, Betelu, Plis Plas, and Reyno Gourmet as collaborating entities.

The winning teams will receive their rewards starting at 8:30 p.m.

In parallel to the Hackathon event, Baluarte will also host an intense INIZIA Agenda with presentations and exhibitions in areas such as the Cybersecurity Hackathon, the Initiators Presentation with talks on entrepreneurship for the attending students, estimated to be around 190 students from primary, secondary, and higher education levels, as well as other events. The winning participants of the Cybersecurity Hackathon, a total of 20 students from the specialized courses, will receive their prizes in the afternoon following the presentation on cybersecurity, which will be offered to the audience. Twenty students from the Vocational Training in Image and Sound will be responsible for recording the Hackathon throughout the day, and eight students from the Specialized Vocational Training (VET) will participate in the event's organization.
