What is a HACKATHON?

Hackathon comes from the words 'hacking' and 'marathon'. Originally, a hackathon was a gathering of programmers with the goal of collaboratively creating new hardware or software systems.

Currently, a Hackathon is a competitive and collaborative event among diverse professional sectors, whose main objective is to develop creative solutions to address specific challenges or simply explore new ideas.

In the "Innovate and Start Up" Vocational Training Hackathon, several companies and organizations from Navarre will present a real-world challenge to teams of vocational training students (both intermediate and advanced levels), who will have to find an innovative solution within 12 hours. Participating students will experience the process of ideation, creation, and development of a project in record time!

The goal of this event is to bring the business world closer to vocational training students, to discover new talent, and to raise awareness of vocational training among companies and organizations.
