ERASMUS+ BRINGS TOGETHER 400 ADVANCED VOCACIONAL TRAINING TEACHERS IN PAMPLONA
The Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE), an agency affiliated with the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, has jointly organized the "Erasmus+ Higher Education Mobility Conference 2025: Advanced Vocational Training" with the Department of Education of the Government of Navarre. These conferences, which will be held on October 7 and 8, 2025, in a hybrid format (in-person and virtual) at the Navarra Baluarte Conference Center and Auditorium, will be attended by approximately 400 teachers from across Spain.
The Regional Minister of Education, Carlos Gimeno, attended the opening of the conference. He commented, "For us, the relationship between training and employment is important. A year ago, the Dual Vocational Training map was established, and the Autonomous Community of Navarre was a leader in dual vocational training, which demonstrates the commitment to vocational training. The Erasmus+ consortium of the Autonomous Community of Navarre has a 20-year history with 24 centers, and we participate in most of the activities organized by SEPIE."
For his part, José Manuel González, Director of the Higher Education Unit at SEPIE, stated that "thanks to the EU Erasmus+ program, European citizens are better equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed in a dynamically changing society that is increasingly mobile, multicultural, and digital. Erasmus+ is a key component in supporting the objectives of the European Education Area and contributes significantly to the Skills Union initiative, supporting students and educational staff in the development of core competencies, while increasing the attractiveness of the teaching profession, stimulating entrepreneurship and innovation, supporting cutting-edge knowledge and academic excellence, and facilitating the recognition of skills and qualifications, enabling labor market integration and reducing the knowledge, skills, and competency gap in Europe."

In 2025, SEPIE has €23.66 million to allocate to 936 Erasmus+ mobility projects for higher education students and staff in FPGS, which will enable 12,043 student and staff mobility projects.
The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities has increased the national co-funding of the Erasmus+ program in Spain to €68.5 million for this call and action, allowing Spain to continue to hold the leading position in receiving Erasmus+ higher education students and the third position as a sending country.
