The Condestable Palace in Pamplona hosted the central event of a new edition of Erasmus Days last Friday, October 17th. The event was attended by around 150 people—including students, teachers, trainers, and professionals—from Basic, Special, Intermediate, and Advanced levels at different Vocational Training centers in Navarre.
The Internationalization Office of the Vocational Training Modernization Service of the Department of Education of the Government of Navarre, responsible for organizing Erasmus Days in our region, offered students and trainers a series of activities that took place throughout last week, two of which stood out: the Erasmus+ Rally photo contest and the Yes, We FP event.

The students, grouped by school, who participated in the Erasmus+ Rally photography contest submitted a collection of eight photographs that, in their opinion, best reflected the Erasmus spirit in situations that commonly occur in their countries of origin.
Of all the photographs received, the jury decided to award the following the highest score:
- "Facing the world," as the best in the Erasmus Spirit section.
- "Let's go hand in hand," in the Digitalization section.
- "With my friends from different countries who form a big family," in the Inclusion section.
- Green future," in the Sustainability section.
- "We are energy," in the European Values: Youth section.
- "Anywhere is good to study," in the European Values: Education section.
- "Nerea swimming," in the European Values: Sport section.
- "Languages," in the Importance of Learning Languages section.
After adding up the points awarded to each photo, the winning teams were:
- First Prize: CIP Tafalla: Nerea Arizcuren, Nerea Ortiz, and Miguel Chueca for
- Second Prize: CIP ETI San Juan: Maroi Ajou.
- Third Prize: ESTNA: David Fernández, Laura Erviti, Wildarlin Difo, and Ianire Arenaza.
On Friday the 17th, the main event of Erasmus Days 2025 took place: Yes, We FP. Throughout the morning, various activities took place, including two roundtable discussions and a Hide & Seek competition in which participants had to find the letters and symbols that make up the word Erasmus+ hidden in different locations around the city center.
The roundtable discussions focused on both positive and negative personal and professional language-related experiences of professionals from different productive sectors.
The participants in the first roundtable were Itziar Lacunza, Project Manager and Assistant Director at the Audiovisual Cluster of Navarra (CLAVNA), and Carlos Fernández de Vigo, filmmaker and winner of the Goya Award for Best Short Film in 2024 for Cafuné. Their conversation focused on the world of film and the audiovisual sector, and the opportunities realized thanks to language skills, as well as those missed out on due to not having the required level at the time. Fernández de Vigo left the students with an interesting reflection focused on the positive relationship between language skills and an understanding of reality and a critical outlook.
The speakers in the second roundtable were Sofía Egido, Head of the Projects and Internationalization Section of the Vocational Training Modernization Service, and Eneko Madinabeitia, Director of the Burlada Vocational Training Center. Sofía Egido balances her current career with her passion: mechanics and racing, both rallies and circuit racing. From her experience, she spoke about the importance of knowing languages to communicate and coordinate with the rest of the teammates on a racing team, or when providing information or giving instructions to the driver from the paddock.
For his part, Eneko Madinabeitia, a chef by profession, outlined the many opportunities he has received throughout his career and those he was able to accept (and also those he rejected) due to his language skills. He also highlighted the value that these work experiences bring to personal development. He also revealed a plan still to be realized: traveling the world cooking in restaurants in different countries.
All the speakers encouraged the audience to learn languages and apply for an Erasmus+ scholarship, as it is one of the most effective and immersive ways to learn and improve linguistic, social, and professional skills. They also reminded everyone of the application deadline for long-stay scholarships to be offered during the 2026-27 academic year.
Between the end of the first roundtable and the beginning of the next, a Hide & Seek event was held. To solve the mystery of the hidden letters, participants were given a series of clues they learned through this video. You can see the solutions to the clues in the video of the winners, who were::
Letter E: Evelyn Robles, CIP Huarte. She found it in the Nativity Scene in Portalapea.
Letter R: Adnan Naffa, CIP Tafalla. It was hidden in Pamplona City Hall.
Letter A: Pablo Merallo of CIP María Ana Sanz found it on a bench in Plaza del Castillo.
Letter S: Sasha Smyrnov of CIP Tafalla found it in the Pasaje del Seminario.
Letter M: Mikel García, also from CI María Ana Sanz, located it in Plaza de Santa Ana.
Letter U: Gutyer Blasco, from CIP Huarte, managed to find it in Plaza de San Francisco.
Letter S: Tania Salinero, from the Central ETI of Tudela, ran to discover it on the grille of a window at the entrance to the Ezpeleta Palace.
Symbol +: Maikel Grajales from CIP Tafalla located the + symbol on the door of the Municipal Market in the Old Town.
The event concluded with the presentation of awards to the winners of the Erasmus+ Rally and Hide & Seek photography contests, and with a performance by the professional improvised theater company De Improviso, which also livened up the transitions between the various activities.
