  • There's lots of nature and great food.
  • The people are nice.
  • It's a beautiful and comfortable place. Hospitable and polite.
  • The people are very similar to Spain, and the climate is very similar.
  • t's a quiet city with not much tourism.

CONS

  • There isn't much atmosphere on the streets, and the clubs are in a fairly distant industrial area.
  • Public transportation is expensive, and you don't feel safe with the crowds on the streets.
  • The bus schedules in the city center ended very early.
  • The language is a bit difficult.
  • I wasn't able to communicate as fluently as I imagined.
  • There were few things to do other than partying.

REGARDING THE ACCOMMODATION...

"I stayed with a lovely woman. The room was quite small for two people, but everything else was great."

"I lived with a family of three, a 70-year-old mother and two children, ages 40 and 30. I slept in an old garage where there was a lot of humidity and almost no privacy. The bathroom was very small, and we had to eat in the bedroom. I didn't have a good experience."

"I stayed with a family. The room was shared, so it was a bit uncomfortable, but despite that, the coexistence and communication were good."

"They are very nice and don't have any complaints, except that after 10:00 p.m. I can't do anything in the kitchen."

"The apartment has some flaws: bathrooms with no ventilation, drains that don't work properly, dampness, and mold. I stayed in a student apartment."

"Decent apartment, very far from everything."

"I didn't like the relationship with most of the roommates, but the apartment was fairly good."

IF YOU GO TO VICENZA, YOU HAVE TO VISIT..

  • All the surrounding towns are beautiful. Vicenza as a city is also very beautiful, worth exploring all of it.
  • Around Vicenza, you have Venice, Verona, Padua, Trento, Milan... It's an area that offers many possibilities.
  • Mount Berico, going to the river, to one of the many parks to play with your friends, and visiting public palaces.
  • Venice.
  • The basic Palladian and Venice.

A GOOD PLACE TO EAT / HAVE A DRINK IS...

  • Pizzeria Vesuvio for good pizza and two bars for a drink: Bar Ovosodo and Bar Italia.
  • For a relaxing drink, I recommend Geko (Vicenza).
  • Restaurant Matias.

TIPS IF YOU GO TO VICENZA

  • You have to come with a very open mind and be prepared for anything. If you like traveling and discovering new places, you have many options here. You can explore parts of Italy (Venice, Verona, Padua, Bologna, etc.) and even other neighboring countries, since Vicenza is in the north.
  • I don't recommend renting bikes.
  • Have your own savings, since you'll be spending money on an Erasmus program.
  • Enjoy everything; there are always things you'd like to change or not, but you have to live in the moment from the first minute to the last.
  • Mosquito repellents and umbrellas.
  • Know English or Italian.
